Ku-ring-gai National Park

Today we went to Ku-ring-gai National Park in North Turramurra.  It is named for the Guringai tribe.  We went on a bushwalk and saw lots of animals and plants there.  The picture above is us with Martha standing near a really strange tree whose roots were growing on a rock.

This picture is of the mangrove swamp that was on the bushwalk.

This is an aboriginal carving in a rock on the bushwalk. They say it is from the Dreamtime.

This photo is of a crab in the mangrove swamp.

This is a little pied cormorant.

We saw a Goanna, a kind of lizard - it was over a foot long!

This is a lapwing guarding its eggs right near the kerb of the carpark!  Its partner was trying to scare off some boys playing cricket nearby.

Hello! Fantastic pictures and fascinating animals…! You should come to Sweden again and we could visit Lappland far north…

What are the plans for New Years Eve? Will you celebrate both Australian, British and USA East Coast New Year? That would be a long, long day and night??!!

    Anyway!

    G’day Sports
You certainly are doing some brilliant things, I thought the photo of the the Goana was a snake at first and was amazed that you dared go so close! You’re going to have so much to tell your friends when you get back to school. Much love and safe journey home.

    Dear Skager-Huangs,

It was trooly great to see you all. We had a fantastic time in the few days we got to spend together – in Sydney and at Vincentia – and you know you’re always welcome to stay in our home.

The thing about true friends like you guys is that even after not seeing you for so long when we do catch its like we’ve never been away. We miss you already; and we’ll see you again, hopefully soon.

Have a safe trip home, a funtastic new year and say g’day to all me mates in the BC.

See you when the mud dries. Or thereabouts.

    Love youse all.

Tony (king of the 70s), Philippa, Joseph, Sofia and Cookie.
